Ossetian Bus Crash Kills 11

A bus crash in the breakaway Georgian region of South Ossetia killed 11 people, including two children, and left 14 hurt Sunday, Itar-Tass reported.

The bus, with 24 passengers aboard, tumbled down a ravine as it traversed the high-altitude Transcaucasus Highway, which links southern Russia with the Moscow-backed separatist region, the report said. The bus was going from Vladikavkaz in North Ossetia to South Ossetia’s capital, Tskhinvali.
