Graft Case for Kremlin Men

The Investigative Committee has opened a case against two officials of the Presidential Property Department accused of extorting a large bribe when conducting an audit of an unspecified institution within the department, Interfax reported Thursday.

One of the officials, Igor Yerashov, was taken into custody, while the other, Vladimir Korniyaka, remains free, said Viktor Khrekov, spokesman for the Presidential Property Department.

Khrekov refused to provide any further details of the incident, citing the ongoing investigation.
