Central Bank’s Debt Sales

The Central Bank ramped up debt sales in March, selling 339.7 billion rubles ($11.6 billion) of bonds to absorb excess liquidity and counter the inflationary impact of the government’s anti-crisis package, the bank said Tuesday.

The Central Bank’s outstanding debt jumped more than 50 percent in March from the previous month to 735.9 billion rubles from 487.9 billion rubles at the end of February, the bank said in a report.
