Berezovsky's Ex-Partner Gets British Asylum

A British court has granted asylum to Russian businessman Nikolai Glushkov, a former business partner of self-exiled tycoon Boris Berezovsky, reported.

Glushkov, a former first deputy of Aeroflot, requested asylum in Britain in 2006 after a Moscow court had sentenced him to a suspended sentence on embezzlement charges.

Glushkov told that the British court found that the charges were politically motivated.

Britain's Foreign Office had no immediate comment on the report.
