Kiev Stored Enough Gas

KIEV — Ukraine has pumped 25.5 billion cubic meters of gas into storage, enough for the winter, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said Monday.

“This will be sufficient for winter heating, for consumption in Ukraine and for the uninterrupted and reliable export of Russian gas to Europe,” she told reporters in Kiev. Ukraine will pay for all its gas on time, Tymoshenko said, and won’t ask Gazprom to pay transit fees in advance.
