A Suicidal Attack

I swear we'll get away from the suicide/euthanasia-crime theme soon, but this little item is too weird to ignore.
A Perm man has been arrested after attacking a bank security guard in a bizarre suicide attempt, the Interior Ministry's regional branch said in a statement.
The suspect told police that he was deep in debt but that paying off his outstanding loans was not his motivation for attacking the guard at the Rosbank branch in the city's Kirov district on Jan. 30.
He told investigators he had wanted to end his life because of his devastated finances. But instead of choosing a more standard method of suicide, he opted to let the branch security guard do the dirty work for him, expecting the guard to shoot him dead.
According to the police report, the suspect walked into the Rosbank branch on Ulitsa Marshala Rybalko at around 11:30 a.m. Friday. He had a short conversation with one of the bank's credit consultants, but as the security guard was strolling by, the would-be client pulled out a knife and pressed it to the guard's neck.
The guard, who received a small wound to the neck, managed to wrestle the man to the ground and handcuff him, disabling him until the police arrived.
At the police precinct, he told the interrogating officers that it was all just an elaborate suicide attempt and that he had no intention of actually trying to rob the bank.
Police will likely charge him with aggravated assault.
