Moscow Takes On Strabag

The Moscow government asked federal authorities to revoke Strabag’s permit to work in Russia, said Anatoly Zaiko, head of the city’s construction safety watchdog, Interfax reported.

Zaiko said Strabag was responsible for the collapse of an underground parking lot in central Moscow in September that killed a person, the news service said. The city also asked competition authorities to list Strabag as an “unreliable” supplier of materials and services, he said.

Strabag said there was no reason to fear that its construction license would be revoked in Russia.
