Russia Presses Iran

Russia’s position on Iran will depend on Tehran’s readiness to work with the UN nuclear watchdog, the Kremlin said Wednesday.

Moscow expects Iran to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency, said Natalya Timakova, spokeswoman for President Dmitry Medvedev.

Timakova also said Russia’s stance on the issue would depend on the outcome of talks between Iran and UN Security Council members that will begin Thursday in Geneva.
