‘Hijackers’ Kept in Jail

A Moscow court Thursday extended the detention of three suspected hijackers of the Arctic Sea ship until Feb. 18.

The trio, Alexei Bulev, Dmitry Savins and Igor Borisov, were among eight men detained on the Arctic Sea in August after the ship disappeared en route from Finland to Algeria. Investigators asked the court to prolong the suspects’ detentions to give them more time to carry out their inquiry. With the court decision, six of the eight have seen their detentions extended.
