Communists End Duma Boycott, Will Meet Medvedev Saturday

The Communist Party will return to the State Duma on Wednesday to discuss the federal budget and propose creating a presidential commission to examine electoral violations, leader Gennady Zyuganov said.

The Communist, Liberal Democratic and Just Russia factions walked out of the parliament Oct. 14 to protest Oct. 11 elections. LDPR and Just Russia rejoined the parliament Friday.

Zyuganov also said President Dmitry Medvedev would meet deputies Saturday, three days earlier than planned, in response to deputies’ demands.
