Bad Loans May Hit 15%

Banks’ nonperforming loans will continue to rise next year as more households and businesses struggling to recover from a record economic decline are unable to service debt, bank executives said Wednesday.

Bad loans may rise to 13 percent to 15 percent of total loans next year, Alfa Bank president Pyotr Aven, VTB-24 Chairman Mikhail Zadornov and MDM Bank Chairman Oleg Vyugin said.
