Antitrust Service Eyes Intel's Share in Market

The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service is studying the Russian market for microprocessors to determine Intel’s share, but “no one is talking about any abuse of a dominant position or about any fines,” Sergei Noskovich, a spokesman for the service, said Friday.

Kommersant reported Friday that the service might fine Intel as much as 2 percent of its annual local revenue if it finds that the company illegally took advantage of its position. The report cited Vladimir Kudryavtsev, head of the service’s IT division.
