What to Do: Discuss Women's Issues

The International Women's Club is holding an international conference in Moscow on March 27 to coincide with the organization's 30th anniversary. The conference will be the first of its kind in Russia.

The conference will be organized into four formal working sessions, focusing on the challenges for women today, women in health care and culture and education. Within these broad topics, issues such as career choices, family challenges, racial intolerance and trafficking of women will be discussed.

A panel of speakers will include Dendev Badarch of Unesco, Lisa Carty of the UN HIV/AIDS program, writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya, Duma deputy Lyubov Sliska and many other distinguished women.

The event is free for both members and nonmembers.

The International Women's Club in Moscow has over 800 members and is open to all women who live in Moscow.
