Owner of Car Dealership Drowns

The head of Avtomir, one of Russia's largest car dealerships, drowned in the Volga River, Interfax reported Monday.

Yevgeny Satiyev, 43, drowned Friday night in unclear circumstances while boating with friends on the Volga, a spokeswoman for the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Prosecutor's Office told Interfax. Forensics experts are running tests to determine whether foul play was involved, she said.

No signs of violence were found on the body when it was pulled out of the river, a regional emergency situations source told Interfax.

Witnesses said Satiyev had felt unwell and was recuperating away from the others on the boat, Kommersant reported Monday. No one saw how he fell into the water, the report said.
