Baeva graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy in 2000 with a first-class honors diploma in law. Earlier, in 1996, she graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical University with a first-class honors diploma in English, German and Spanish.

Baeva joined Lovells in 2002 and since then has been one of the leading corporate lawyers in Lovells CIS, making a significant contribution to the development of the Moscow corporate practice. She has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions and private equity deals and has advised on a number of high profile M&A deals in the Russian market.

CB Richard Ellis



Justin Berry has been appointed head of the investment team. He will be transferring to CBRE's Moscow office later this year from London where he is currently a director of CBRE's Central London investment team.

CMS Cameron McKenna



Elisabeth Pestl and Vladislav Sourkov, both senior associates, have been named partners of the Moscow office and will be responsible for the future development of CMS Cameron McKenna's real estate practice. Pestl has been with CMS Cameron McKenna since 2005, previously with Bates, Wells & Braithwaite as an associate in their London office from 2004 to 2005. Between 1998 and 2004 Pestl worked as a solicitor at CMS Cameron McKenna in the firm's London and Warsaw offices. She has a bachelor degree in law from the University of Melbourne as well as a bachelor of arts degree. Sourkov graduated with honors from the International Law Department of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1997. From 1997 to 2001 he worked at Anderson Legal as an associate. From 2001 to 2004 he worked as a senior associate in Ernst and Young's real estate practice before joining CMS Cameron McKenna's real estate practice in 2004 as senior associate.

Maxim Gasiev has been appointed regional director of retail property and will be responsible not only for Moscow retail projects, but also for retail property development in the Russian regions and Ukraine. Gasiev has been working in the commercial real estate industry for over 9 years and joined Colliers in 2004 as director of retail property development. Previously, from 2000 to 2004 he worked at Daev Plaza development, first as the head of the development department and then as deputy general director. He graduated from the Russian State Technology University (MATI) in 1995.

Elena Alpatova has been appointed deputy head of office agency where she will continue to focus on client services. She has been with C&W/S&R since 2002 when she started as assistant to the office department. In 2004 she was appointed junior consultant before rising to the position of senior consultant.

Interstate Hotels and Resorts



Three senior executives have been appointed and will be based in Interstate's new branch office, recently opened in Moscow. Kenneth McLaren was named executive vice president of Interstate Management Services, Inc. and will oversee operations of the local hotels. Irina Kulagina is the new vice president of sales and marketing, and will also be responsible for new business development. Mikhail Rodionov will oversee the capital project process for the company's Moscow hotels, as well as assist during the renovation/construction of new hotels. McLaren worked for the Hilton chain for 16 years before joining the Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel in 2003 as general manager. He graduated from the College of Technology in Glasgow where he majored in hotel management and gained a postgraduate diploma in human resources management. Kulagina joined the Marriott Royal Aurora Hotel as director of sales in 1998 and later became area director of sales and marketing for the three Moscow Marriott hotels. She graduated from the Moscow Linguistic University. Rodionov joined the Moscow Marriott Hotels in 1998 as assistant to the area director of engineering before being appointed assistant area director of purchasing in 2000 and area director of purchasing in 2003. Rodionov is a graduate of the Moscow Linguistic University.

Jones Lang LaSalle



Andrey Rozov has been appointed head of the Jones Lang LaSalle representative office in St. Petersburg. Rozov will be responsible for handling relationship management, client development and operational aspects. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Rozov worked at M. Video as head of the expansion department. He graduated from the Academy of Engineering and Economics in St. Petersburg, majoring in construction and civil maintenance.

Elena Kravtsova has been appointed director of business development at Jones Lang LaSalle, Ukraine where she will be responsible for securing assignments with clients intending to broaden their activities to Ukraine. Kravtsova previously worked in Capital Group as director of the office property department, dealing with marketing strategy and project management. She graduated from Kiev Technical University and has a degree in banking and finance from the Central European University and Yale University.

Knight Frank



Adam Sheriff Scott has been appointed director of leasing and corporate client group in the department of office agency services where he will be responsible for account management for corporate occupier clients and developers. Sheriff Scott has over 8 years experience in office lettings and from 2005 to 2007 was director of leasing and tenant representation at Colliers in Prague. Previous to this he worked at Cushman and Wakefield in Toronto, Canada from 2000 to 2005 where he was responsible for key client accounting in their office lettings department.

Praedium



Elizabeth Estrina has been appointed head of the consulting department and will be responsible for supervising consulting projects and developing valuation services. Estrina has over 13 years of experience in working in commercial real estate and before joining Praedium she worked in CB Richard Ellis in the department of strategic consulting and valuation. Estrina graduated from the Moscow Co-operative University with a degree in management and commerce and furthered her education at Moscow Plekhanov's Economic Academy in the sphere of land and real estate valuation.

Rosa Khutor



Roger McCarthy has been appointed director of strategy and production for the development of the Rosa Khutor mountain resort. He will be responsible for preparing the resort for its opening and for its future development. McCarthy has 30 years of experience in the mountain ski resort industry and previously worked from 2002 to 2006 as vice president and executive director of the Breckenridge and Keystone ski resorts which are run by Vail resorts, one of the largest mountain resort operators in the United States.

Salans



Evgeny Timofeey and Alexai Panich have been appointed partners and co-heads of the Russian Taxation Practice. Timofeey joined Salans in 2006 as a counsel and is a member of the Board of the Russian Tax Law Association and of the Expert Council on Tax Legislation of the State Duma Budget Committee. From 2001 to 2002 he was a manager with Ernst and Young's tax practice and from 2003 to 2006 he ran Timothy's, a company he founded, which provided structured information on court precedents in tax and other areas. Timofeey graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1994 and received his MBA from London Business School in 2001. Panich joined Salans in 2001 as an associate, having previously worked at KPMG as a senior tax consultant from 1996 to 2000. He specializes in tax, customs and civil litigation as well as advising on Russian and international taxation matters. In 2002 he was admitted as an advocate in the Russian Federation. Panich graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Law where he specialized in civil law and litigation.
