Vnukovo International Airport has made life easier for those observing the Veliky Post fast. Abstaining air travelers no longer need to pick though their on-board meals looking for a Lenten bite to eat, as Vnukovo's caterers have introduced a complete Lenten menu (pictured) for the airport's flights. Preparing not only starters and salads, Restoran Pri MA Vnukovo, which caters the on-board food, is preparing hot main dishes as well, such as sweet peppers stuffed with vegetables and vegetarian pilaf with raisins and prunes. All up, the new menu includes 36 Lenten dishes.

The club and restaurant Sorry Babushka is also not ignoring those observing the fast, having introduced its own Lenten menu. The menu features 20 dishes, with such soups as minestrone (360), bean soup (290 rubles) and even a Thai soup (310 rubles). More filling options include wild rice pilaf with shiitake mushrooms (520 rubles) and eggplant with tofu (320 rubles). For those craving something sweet there is pear (160 rubles) and cherry strudel (240 rubles).

Chinese restaurant Tan is preparing a special program for International Women's Day on March 8. All women are to receive complimentary Gancia Asti Docg sparkling wine and fresh flowers. A special light menu is to offer such female-friendly dishes as crab and pineapple salad (320 rubles) and Peking duck and lettuce rolls on sliced cucumbers (340 rubles). To sate the woman's sweet tooth, a berry sorbet from strawberry, black current and lime (240 rubles) is to be served. Helping to instill an amorous atmosphere, the male strip dance collective Fresh Love is to perform.

The opulent and ornate La Voile restaurant is also aiming to please the womenfolk on Women's Day. New to the menu is the appropriately light salad with quail, ginger and porto sauce (750 rubles) and carpaccio of marbled beef with parmesan cheese and cedar nut (700 rubles).

The Filimonova i Yankel fish house has opened its second branch right downtown on Tverskaya Ulitsa. Occupying the former premises of the Le Gateau cafe, the fish house offers the same fixed-priced seafood delicacies that can be found at RP-Com's original Filimonova i Yankel in the Yevropeisky shopping center, by Kievsky Station.
