International law firm Salans has announced the appointment of Mikhail Dikopolsky, Andrei Strijak and Artyom Zhavoronkov as partners in the firm's Russia practice.

Mikhail Dikopolsky advises major multinational corporations and financial institutions on general corporate and mergers and acquisitions transactions in oil and gas, automotive and other sectors. He graduated from Moscow State University with a law degree in 1990, and obtained a master's degree in law from Northwestern University, Illinois, in 1995. During 1995-97 he worked as an associate at Baker & McKenzie, and from 1997 to 1998 he was an associate with Allen & Overy. In 1998 he joined the Moscow office of Salans, and in 2006 he was appointed as of counsel.

Andrei Strijak represents multilateral institutions and domestic and international financial institutions on lending and related financial transactions, as well as financial sector acquisitions and foreign investments and financing, structuring of transactions, banking and securities regulatory matters. He joined Salans' Moscow office in 1996 after graduating from Moscow State Institute for International Relations' international law faculty, where he specialized in international public and private law matters.

Artyom Zhavoronkov concentrates on banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, corporate and commercial law and real estate. He graduated from St. Petersburg State University with a law degree in 1992 and attended legal training courses on comparative criminal and civil law at Heidelberg and Regensburg universities in Germany. During 1992-1995 he worked as a corporate lawyer in Moscow Business Bank, St. Petersburg, and in 1995-1996 he was the head of the law department at Mezhkombank. From 1996 until 2002 he was the head of Beiten Burkhardt's St. Petersburg office. In 2002, he joined Salans' St. Petersburg office as an of counsel.
