Tan also has its eye on the sweet-toothed among us. The Chinese restaurant has introduced a new dessert menu, available both in the restaurant and for takeout, including a chocolate cup with a raspberry filling and blackberry-Hennessy VSOP sauce (380 rubles), creme brulee with passion fruit (380 rubles) and pear pie with vanilla ice cream (390 rubles).

In the place of elite restaurant Leonardo, Salambo has opened. Created by Mehdi Douss, the restaurateur behind La Maree, the new restaurant retains the same opulent interior and maintains the sky-high prices. Besides its own selection of gourmet delicacies, diners can order fresh fish from the neighboring La Maree.

Another recent takeover has seen Black October DJ Bar replaced by Barfly. Although the new club-restaurant will, as before, be functioning as a club/bar in the evenings, daylight hours see Barfly operating as a city cafe. The reinvented establishment now has its own separate entrance and the menu has been updated, with such easy dishes as club sandwiches, pastas, sushi and even Chinese dim sums. The cocktail menu is substantial, with some 50 choices. For those who are having a late start after a few too many the night before, breakfasts are served around the clock.
