President Goes on Air on Thursday

President Vladimir Putin will participate in a televised call-in show Thursday, the Kremlin said Sunday.

Putin will answer questions during the video-link conference, which will be broadcast on state-run Channel One and Rossia television channels, as well as on radio stations Mayak and Radio Rossii, the presidential press service said.

The Kremlin web site for the event,, said questions could be asked by phone, SMS or e-mail ahead of the show, which is scheduled to begin at noon. A statement issued by the Kremlin press service Sunday afternoon said the site had already begun accepting questions.

This will be the sixth and, perhaps, last presidential call-in show, which Putin has held annually since 2001. Putin's second and constitutionally mandated last consecutive presidential term ends in March.
