Charges in Governor's Death
City prosecutors have charged Andrei Nikiforov with vehicular manslaughter in the car accident that left Kostroma Governor Viktor Shershunov dead last month, Interfax reported Tuesday.
Shershunov and his driver died of injuries sustained in the Sept. 20 accident, in which their Mercedes collided with Nikiforov's car on a highway outside Moscow.
Prosecutors said Nikiforov was speeding when his car swerved into oncoming traffic, striking Shershunov's car, Interfax reported. (MT)
