Kirill Androsov Looks to Quit Ministry

Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Kirill Androsov plans to quit, a week after his boss, German Gref, left the ministry, sources close to the deputy minister said Saturday.

Androsov, 35, is responsible for managing state property, including natural monopolies and the $10 billion investment fund, which co-finances infrastructure projects. The sources said Androsov decided to quit following a government reshuffle that dropped Gref and handed over the investment fund to the Regional Development Ministry. Another deputy minister, Andrei Sharonov, left two months ago.

President Vladimir Putin replaced Gref in the reshuffle with his former first deputy Elvira Nabiullina and drafted close ally Dmitry Kozak to head the Regional Development Ministry.

Androsov, who has worked for the ministry since 2005, has no wish to work with Nabiullina and Kozak and made the decision to leave Friday, the source said.

He said Androsov and Gref were considering jobs in the private sector.
