Coming Soon: Eats in Izvestia

A "multicomplex" of restaurants is soon to open in the Izvestia building at 5 Pushkin Square, Rosinter Restaurants has announced.

Two restaurants previously located at the site, Benihana and Planeta Sushi, have been closed since March. Both are part of the Rosinter restaurant holding, which is planning to invest $8 million into the new complex.

The company is to bring back Benihana and Planeta Sushi, and add Il Patio, Moka Loka, Rostik's and 1-2-3 Cafe, all operating under the one roof. The first four restaurants are to open at the end of the month, while Rostik's and 1-2-3 Cafe are to open their doors at the beginning of 2008.

The complex is to have a total area of 2,310 square meters with 700 seats and the capacity to serve 4,000 people daily.

Rosinter operates 195 restaurants in Russia, other Commonwealth of Independent States countries and Central Europe, with 106 located in Moscow. The company's other well-known chains include T.G.I. Friday's and Sibirskaya Korona.
