Investment Firm to List in London

Aurora Russia, which was co-founded by GE Consumer Finance's former Russia head, said it would seek to raise £150 million ($261 million) in an initial public offering in March and invest the money in Russian equities.

The British-registered company is offering 150 million shares at £1 ($1.74) each, the company said Monday in a statement. The shares will be listed on the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market.

"The strategy is to make equity or equity-related investments in small and mid-sized private Russian companies focused on the financial, business and consumer services sectors where there is potential for growth," Aurora said.

James Cook, former chief executive officer of the Russian unit of General Electric's consumer finance arm, and John McRoberts, former head of the corporate finance advisory practice at Deloitte & Touche in Moscow, will manage the company.
