Old Woman Eats Hash Pie

An elderly woman was hospitalized in the Krasnodar region after accidentally eating a pie made with hashish, Interfax reported Thursday.

The 60-year-old woman was rushed to intensive care, said Alexander Rudich, spokesman for the Federal Drug Control Agency's regional branch.

Rudich said an unidentified young man had baked the pie with hashish oil and planned to send it to St. Petersburg. He said the pie had been stored at a friend's place "where it caught the elderly woman's eye." (MT)
