Hellevig, Klein & Usov

The newly created law firm Hellevig, Klein & Usov has named Jon Hellevig a managing partner, the firm announced.

Hellevig, Klein & Usov was recently formed after the merger of Avenir Law Partners and the legal practices of Daniel Klein. Hellevig was a founding partner of Avenir, establishing the firm in the late 1990s.

Hellevig has a law degree from the University of Helsinki and an MBA.

Hellevig, Klein also announced the appointment of Daniel Klein as a partner. Klein has practiced in various law firms and has held several business and legal positions in various industries.

Klein received a juris doctor from New York Law School in 1987 and an MBA from London Business School in 1993.

Artyom Usov has been named a partner, the firm announced. Prior to the merger, he had been a lawyer at Avenir since 2002.

HSBC

Gennady Kurilo has been appointed head of the legal department at HSBC, the company announced.

Kurilo started his career with BNP-Dresdner Bank. From 1997 to 1999, he worked as a legal adviser to financial institutions at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He worked at ING from 1999 to 2002, after which he joined ABN AMRO as a lawyer.

Kurilo graduated from the Ordzhonikidze State Management University in 1992, and received a diploma in law from Moscow State University, or MGU, in 1999.

Oleg Radichkin has been appointed head of payments and cash management at HSBC, the company announced.

Before joining HSBC, Radichkin worked for eight years at ING, starting as a communications and SWIFT specialist and finishing as an account manager in payments and cash management.

Radichkin graduated from the mechanics and applied mathematics faculty at MGU with honors in 1993.

Marshall Capital Partners

Sergei Ogorodnov has been appointed managing director of Marshall Capital Partners, the company announced.

Prior to his appointment, Ogorodnov was director of corporate finance at MDM Bank. Between 1997 and 1999, he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. In 2000 Ogorodnov received an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology. Between 2000 and 2002 he was vice president for corporate finance at Alfa Bank.

Sergei Azatyan has been appointed vice president, the company announced. Before his appointment, Azatyan was vice president of corporate finance at MDM Bank.

Between 1999 and 2000, Azatyan worked at British consultant Denholm Hall. From 2000 to 2003, he was senior manager for corporate finance at investment bank Gamma Group.

Konstantin Kovarsky has been appointed financial director, the company announced.

Before his appointment, Kovarsky occupied the same position at Ost-West Group. He holds a bachelor's degree from St. John's University in Minneapolis, and passed the Certified Public Accountant's exam in 1998.

Between 1997 and 1999 Kovarsky worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Minneapolis. From 1999 to 2002, he worked at KPMG's Moscow office.

MDM Bank

Alexander Andreyev has been appointed managing director and head of the shareholder capital markets department at MDM Bank, the company announced. Prior to his appointment, he was director of investment banking at Brunswick UBS.

Kim Iskyan has been appointed head of the analytical department, the company announced. Prior to joining MDM, Iskyan was vice president at Ireland's Pioneer Investments. Before that, he was deputy head of the analytical department at Renaissance Capital.

Troika Dialog

Oleg Sheiko has been appointed managing director and head of Troika Dialog's new Kiev office, the company announced.

Before starting at Troika, Sheiko worked as vice president and director of corporate finances at Yukos. From 1998 to 2001, he was a manager and head of the Moscow representation of Standard Bank London, and has been on the board of directors of Standard Bank Moscow since 2002.
