Drugs Planted on Tajik

Two policemen have been arrested for planting heroin on a Tajik laborer and trying to extort $1,400, Moskovsky Komsomolets reported Wednesday.

The policemen, one of whom works in a Moscow branch of the Federal Drug Control Service, beat the Tajik national on March 11 and planted heroin on him, the newspaper said. After they were paid $1,000, the officers demanded 12,000 rubles. The Tajik man contacted police, and the officers were arrested when they arrived for the 12,000 rubles.
