InBev Offers SUN Minorities $59M

InBev, the world's second-biggest brewer, said it intends to offer $59.4 million to minority shareholders in Russian venture SUN Interbrew after completing a buyout of its partners.

InBev, which will have 98.5 percent of the venture after buying out SUN Trade and Alfa Group, plans to offer $33.41 per share to SUN Interbrew minority holders, the Leuven, Belgium-based company said in a statement Friday.

"The form in which the proposed offer would be made to SUN Interbrew shareholders has yet to be finally determined,'' InBev said. "InBev is under no legal or regulatory obligation to make the offer. It's expected that the SUN Interbrew shares will be delisted.''
