Bovis Lend Lease

 Bovis Lend Lease Russia/CIS has appointed Lars Schmitt to the new position of operations director.

In 1997, Schmitt joined Bovis Lend Lease as a regional manager for South Germany and Switzerland.

Since beginning his career in 1980, Schmitt has worked for Krantz/TKT, Heese Architects and Technik.

Ernst & Young

 Ernst & Young has appointed Philipp Turowski, partner at Ernst & Young CIS, the head of the assurance and advisory business services practice in the CIS, having transferred to Moscow from Frankfurt in February.

Turowski joined Arthur Andersen Germany after graduating in 1991, and became a partner in 2000. In 2002, after the merger between the Andersen and Ernst & Young practices, he joined Ernst & Young in Frankfurt, where he served as deputy to the assurance and advisory business services managing partner.


 PBN's Moscow office has appointed Vladimir Berezansky Jr. as vice president and deputy managing director.

A New Yorker, Berezansky has worked for more than a decade in Russia/CIS as a commercial-transactional attorney. Most recently, he was director of international legal and compliance for the MDM Financial Group.

Before working at MDM, he was senior legal adviser to the International Science & Technology Center in Moscow. Prior to that, he worked for international law firms in Vladivostok and Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Baring Vostok

 Philippe Der Megreditchian has been appointed a partner of Baring Vostok Capital Partners, starting September 2004. His role will include project management and business development.

Prior to joining Baring Vostok, Der Megreditchian was CEO of Eagle Venture Capital. In 1997, he founded and managed Meridian Capital. Der Megreditchian has also worked at Credit Commercial de France and Framlington Investment Management as an investment analyst.

Sergei Abramov has also joined Baring Vostok's team as a partner. He will be responsible for government relation and business development.

From 2000 to 2004, Abramov was first deputy head of the Main Office for Internal Policy of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. And From 1997 to 2000, he was the first deputy chairman of the Committee for Telecommunications and Mass Media of the Moscow government.
