Russian Aluminum

RusAl has appointed Konstantin Olefir as director of the company's legal department.

Olefir was previously the head of the corporate group at Vimpelcom. He started his career in 1994 as an associate in Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom's Moscow office before moving to Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, where he worked in both their New York and Moscow offices.


Alexander Baranov has been appointed the chief financial director of Wimm-Bill-Dann and the financial director of the Lianozovsky and Tsaritsynsky milk plants.

Previously, Baranov was director of the company's treasury. From 2000 to 2002, Baranov worked in Chicago in the treasury department of McDonald's.

Kelly Services

Natalya Kurantova has been appointed the director of the Moscow branch of Kelly Financial Services, a specialized branch of the Kelly Services headhunting company. Kurantova is responsible for bolstering the selection of part-time and full-time banking personnel.

In 2001, she joined Kelly Services as a customer relations manager. Prior to that, she worked in the marketing department of the Vena brewery and as a sales and marketing manager for Bereg in St. Petersburg.

Nortel Networks

Igor Marchenko has been appointed the head and regional manager of Nortel Networks in Russia and the CIS.

Since 1998, Marchenko had been working for Alcatel in Moscow -- first as commercial director of corporate decisions, and then as a director of the broadband network technologies department.


Len Readle has been appointed chief executive officer of Cyvas General Trade in Moscow. His task is to assist in the expansion and reorganization of the company and to bring Western debt and equity finance into the country on preferential rates and longer terms.

Cyvas is the main contractor for Moscow's Domodedovo Airport and Anadyr Airport in the Chukotka region. The company has also carried out design work for the airports in Yekaterinburg and Tyumen.
