Lokomotiv Hammers Inter in Moscow

Dmitry Loskov scored in just the second minute as Lokomotiv Moscow shocked Inter Milan 3-0 in a Champions League Group B match in Moscow on Tuesday.

Loskov fired in a shot from close range after a cross from Vadim Yeseyev.

Mikhail Ashvetia added another in the 50th minute and midfielder Dmitry Khokhlov sent in a header seven minutes later.

Loskov's goal ended Lokomotiv's six-match goalless streak in the Champions League and gives Lokomotiv four points from three matches, two points behind leader Inter. Dynamo Kiev, which has three points, and Arsenal (one), were to play later Tuesday in Kiev.

Inter, led by assistant coach Corrado Verdelliin -- in place of Argentine Hector Cuper, who was fired Sunday after a series of poor results -- went on the offensive after Loskov's goal.

Alvaro Recoba went close in the 11th minute, firing a right-footed drive from inside the box, but Lokomotiv goalkeeper Sergei Ovchinnikov cleared the threat.

The visitors dominated the center of the pitch, and Christian Vieri and Recoba had several more chances before the interval.

Five minutes into the second half, Yeseyev set up Lokomotiv's second goal.

Georgian international striker Mikhail Ashvetia connected with Yeseyev's pass from the right to beat Inter goalkeeper Francesco Toldo from close range.

Seven minutes later, Russian international Khokhlov headed in a Loskov free kick from the left. Khokhlov outjumped the Inter defense to direct the ball into the left upper corner of the net from 16 meters in front of a sellout crowd of 30,000 at the Lokomotiv Stadium.

The visitors -- who made the quarterfinals in last season's competition -- lost their temper and saw three yellow cards in the second half.

The Serie A club's only clear chance for a consolation goal came seven minutes before the end of normal time, but Vieri's header off a pass from Recoba rebounded off the crossbar.
