The Soothsayer

Another great sporting weekend last week saw England breaking more records as it hammered South Africa into the ground and completing a clean sweep against three Southern Hemisphere teams. Arsenal and Liverpool were both beaten and Manchester United finally got into gear, beating the Toon army 5-3 in a great match. It did it again on Tuesday, winning 3-1 against Basel in the ChampionsLeague: Just a reminder for Liverpool supporters -- that's the cup you are no longer in.

Lokomotiv won the Russian Premier League as tipped. In fact there were not many results that went wrong for me last week as we added more money to the kitty.

Well! What a start for the American sporting Guru -- four tips, four correct. A 100 percent record -- this guy's good.

His info is top class, so expect the winnings to keep flooding in, we're on a roll!

The big match in the English Premier League this weekend is undoubtedly Sunday's encounter between Liverpool and Manchester United. It has all the makings of a classic. Liverpool's form and confidence are at a low while Alex Ferguson's men have found their touch. Most important for United, Ruud Van Nistelrooy is finding the net again. Combine all this with the Red Devils' great Anfield record and the value is a Manchester United to win at 3.00-2/1.

Arsenal faces Aston Villa at Highbury on Saturday. I warned last week that it would have trouble against Southampton -- which it did -- but this week it should be sound at home against Villa. Gunners to win at 1.40-2/5.

Another interesting match is in the northeast as Newcastle takes on an Everton team that has won its last six matches against good sides. I think the 4.00-3/1 is outstanding value for an Everton win.

Houston Texans +11.5 at Indianapolis Colts.

Houston is 7-4 against the spread, the layers often underestimating its chances. Don't expect it to score too many against the Colts, but the Texans defense isn't that bad so +11.5 seems a fair start.

The Colts will be exhausted after their overtime win against Denver. The under also looks favorable if you are looking for a parlay.

Washington at Dallas under 35.5.

Our Guru remembers watching Washington and Dallas last season on Monday nights, and struggled to stay awake! Two teams with very few offense points. Both teams have improved, but not by enough. Hopefully they will enjoy too much Thanksgiving turkey before getting down to action on Thursday evening, and look for a tight battle of the field goals.

The Guru has now spoken; time to get off your knees!

The roll continues, picking up 625 rubles for the pot as the Springboks got taken apart in a brutal match against England. The total now stands at 31,918 rubles.

Changing to a more genteel sport this week, he's putting 400 rubles on Russia to beat France in the Davis Cup final, which starts Friday, at 1.83-5/6.

Feeling lucky, he's also putting 50 rubles each way on Marlborough in the Hennessy at Newbury on Saturday at 5 p.m.
