Chechen Offices Closed MOSCOW (MT) -- Offices representing the separatist Chechen government in Georgia and Azerbaijan have been closed after the hostage-taking attack in Moscow, media reported Wednesday. Hizri Aldamov, who headed the office of the Chechen communities in Georgia, was asked to leave by his landlord on Tuesday, Kommersant reported. Aldamov said he did not have enough money to open another office. The Azeri Justice Ministry closed the office in Baku on Tuesday, saying it was not properly registered, Vremya Novostei reported. The office was nominally a culture center but dealt with refugee problems. Tokhtakhounov Probe ROME (AP) -- The lawyer for Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov, a reputed Russian mobster accused of fixing figure skating results at the Olympics, said a French judge will question his client next Wednesday but not about the scandal. The lawyer, Luca Saldarelli, said only that the French inquiry had ""nothing to do with"" the charges Tokhtakhounov faces regarding the Olympics.
