Loko Ends CSKA's Winning Streak

Lokomotiv Moscow ended CSKA Moscow's unbeaten run of 19 matches Saturday with a dramatic 3-2 win in the Premier League.

CSKA sealed its own fate with two own goals in the dying minutes of the game after going 2-0 up in the first half.

Lokomotiv scored through Marat Izmailov in the 56th minute of the day's only Premier League match.

Yugoslav striker Predrag Ranjelovic had opened the scoring for CSKA on 10 minutes, brilliantly heading home Vladimir Kulik's cross.

Roman Monaryov then scored from close range midway through the first half to make it 2-0 to the army team.

Substitute Maxim Buznikin dribbled through two challenges and flicked the ball to Marat Izmailov, who powered home 11 minutes into the second half.

Loko continued to create chances, but the equalizer didn't arrive until the 86th minute, when Denis Yevsikov deflected an Izmailov shot into his own net.

Just moments later, Oleg Kornaukhov repeated the mistake, slicing a Buznikin shot past his own keeper to ensure Loko took all three points.

Loko now has 45 points, one point behind leader Spartak, which has a game in hand. CSKA is seventh with 37 points.

Lokomotiv now travels to Spain for Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Real Madrid.
