Columbus IT

Vladimir Demin has been appointed head of Columbus IT Partner Russia, replacing Vladislav Martynov, who has been managing the company for almost five years.

From 1994 to 1997, Demin worked for Arthur Andersen as a senior consultant in the management consulting practice, and then joined Tefal as financial controller. In 1999, Demin became the head of SAP R/3 software practice for Information Business Systems.

In January 2000, he was named vice president at Columbus IT Partner Russia.

Norilsk Nickel

Alexander Popov has been appointed deputy general director of Mining and Metals Co. Norilsk Nickel and head of the company's treasury.

He will be responsible for operations on the credit and financial markets.

From 1991 to 1995, he worked at Inkombank as head of the hard currency financing department. In 1995, he headed the treasury at Oneksimbank and became a board member in 1997.

In November 1998, Popov moved to Rosbank, where, until August 2001, he occupied the post of deputy board chairman responsible for operations on the hard currency and capital markets.


Richard Buski has been appointed senior partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers Russia, succeeding Art Haigh, who has returned to the United States on completion of a three-year assignment in Moscow.

Buski joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1969 and worked at the London office from 1973 to 1974. He was admitted to the Canadian partnership in 1978. Buski was a leader of the Canadian financial services practice.


Tom Rawlins has been appointed first deputy general director and chief financial officer of Rambler Internet Holdings.

For the past six years, Rawlins has been employed with Rockwool, the world's largest producer of stone wool insulation products, where he served as head of the Russian representative office.

Rawlins will also serve as member of the Rambler board of directors.

John Marrow has been appointed as chief commercial officer of Rambler Internet Holdings.

Marrow came to Russia in 1996 to lead the strategy and marketing group of Coopers & Lybrand Russia. He later founded Branan, a financial and management consulting firm.

Marrow is a member of the Rambler board of directors.

Ivan Zassoursky has been appointed deputy general director for public relations of Rambler Internet Holdings.

Zassoursky served as a reporter then economics editor for Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper. He later worked as media adviser to former First Deputy Prime Minister Boris Nemtsov.

He is the author of two books on the history of Russian media in the 1990s.
