Nilesh Lad has been named partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and will work with oil and gas clients.

Lad came to Moscow in 1994 and has extensive experience in structuring corporate transactions and minimizing business risks related to operations in Russia.

Before coming to Russia, Lad worked in PwC's office in Miami providing audit and business advisory services.

Lad graduated in 1990 from the Aston Business School in Birmingham, England, with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.


Rick Macey has been appointed commercial director of Comstar.

Macey, a U.S. citizen, has been actively engaged in the field of telecommunications in Russia since 1996. In April 1998 he became commercial director and board member at Peterstar — a communications operator in St. Petersburg.

Previously, he had held the post of commercial director at Millicom International Cellular.

Macey has held top positions at the American Chamber of Commerce in St. Petersburg, and he has been the chamber's chairman since November 2000.

From 1990 to 1996, Macey worked in the United States with various U.S. companies and dealt extensively with Russia.


Rufat Tabasaransky has been appointed vice president of Roskhlebprodukt, which unites grain-selling and bread-baking enterprises.

He previously served as executive director of the holding's subsidiary Fininvestkhleb.

Tabasaransky, 29, graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, where he majored in physics engineering. He has six years of experience in agribusiness.

Ost-West Allianz

Martina Heckmanns has been appointed a member of the board of directors at Ost-West Allianz — the Russian subsidiary of German insurer Allianz AG.

Heckmanns, 37, has been working with Allianz AG for nearly 18 years. She was born in Cologne, Germany, and studied at FH Koeln.


Patrick Chung has joined the Aerostar Hotel as the new financial controller.

Chung held the same position in Canada with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and also with Marriott International and Peninsula Group properties in China.

He has gained experience in the international business environment and is accustomed to various cultures.
