Anzhi, Loko to Finals

A last-minute goal by Vadim Yevseyev took Lokomotiv Moscow to its third Russian Cup final in four years with a 1-0 win at Sokol Saratov on Wednesday.

Just as the match in Saratov headed towards extra time, fullback Yevseyev beat Sokol goalkeeper Yevgeny Plotnikov with a powerful header from 10 meters in stoppage time to silence a capacity home crowd of 15,000.

In Makhachkala, Anzhi scored a hard-fought 2-1 win over Krylya Sovietov Samara, earning the Dagestanis their first final appearance.

Magomed Adiyev put Anzhi ahead four minutes after the interval before Brazilian striker Anjelo, Samara's top scorer this season, leveled the match 12 minutes later.

But Yugoslav striker Predrag Ranjelovic broke the deadlock on the hour.

Anzhi will face Lokomotiv in the June 20 final in Moscow.
