Leonid Anikeyev has quit the post of first deputy chairman of Vneshtorgbank to take up a post of vice president at Citibank Moscow, Prime-Tass reported a spokesman for Citibank as saying.

Anikeyev was appointed deputy chairman of the Vneshtorgbank board in March 1997. He was in charge of developing new types of client services and marketing and supervised the issue of bonds.

Born in 1962, he graduated from the Moscow College of Finance in 1984. He worked at the U.S.S.R. Foreign Trade Bank from 1984 to 1991 and from 1991 to 1997 occupied senior positions at Credit Suisse in Moscow.

Pratt & Whitney Rus

Vladimir Rasshchupkin has been appointed the general director of aviation motor company Pratt & Whitney Rus Ltd. (St. Petersburg), the company announced in a statement.

He is the first Russian to hold this position.

He replaces Walter Sidorenko, who will return to work at Pratt & Whitney's Canadian headquarters.

Rasshchupkin graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1970 with a degree in aerodynamics and thermodynamics and started working at the Central Institute for Aviation Motors. He has a Ph.D. in physics and mathematics.

He was General Electric Aircraft Engines' director for business development and marketing in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States before joining Pratt & Whitney Rus Ltd. in October.


Vadim Kulik has been appointed a vice president of Probiznesbank. His primary responsibility will be to analyze commercial risks and banking technology.

"The evaluation of credit risks and banking technology is one of the most important tasks for any commercial bank that generates its income from lending activities," Kulik said.

Kulik is 28 years old. In 1995, he graduated from the Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology, and in 1998 he graduated from the Plekhanov Economic Academy, having specialized in finance and credit. From 1995 to 1996, Kulik worked at Imperial Bank, where he coordinated state credits, strategic investing and financial projects. He has worked for Probiznesbank since 1998.


Galina Maximova has been appointed director of the St. Petersburg branch of the Ingosstrakh insurance company. Previously that post was held by Marina Yegorova, who has since transferred to the post of deputy director of the St. Petersburg branch of the Rosno insurance company.

Maximova was born in 1954 in Vyborg. In 1976, she graduated from the Leningrad Engineering-Construction Institute.

In 1998, Maximova was appointed as the director of the department for real estate insurance at the company Check. She then served as the deputy director of the St. Petersburg branch of the Insurance Company for Law Enforcement Agencies.

TNT Russia

Harro van Graafeiland, a Dutch citizen, has been appointed country general manager to TNT Russia, the company said in a statement.

Van Graafeiland worked at TNT Russia from 1997 to 1999 as business development manager and has 16 years' experience in the express distribution and postal industry.

From 1986 to 1995 he worked at PTT Post — a Dutch postal company — in a number of managerial positions.

Van Graafeiland came to Moscow in 1995 as Commonwealth of Independent States general manager for Independent Distributors — the distribution company of publisher Independent Media. In 1997 he joined TNT Russia and was responsible for the development of pick-up and delivery services in Russia, as well as for logistics operations for major clients, including Philips, Sony and Honeywell.

He worked from 1999 to 2001 opening up TNT's operations in Latvia and Lithuania.
