Dutch PM To Meet Putin and Kasyanov

Dutch Prime Minister Wim Kok arrives in Moscow late Thursday to discuss economic and political cooperation at talks with President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov.

Kok will discuss Dutch investment projects in Russia and a bilateral aid programme, as well as Russia's relations with the European Union and other international organisations, a spokesman for the Dutch embassy in Moscow said.

The visit takes place at a time of strained relations between Russia and its Western creditors after Moscow refused to make all of its debt payments this year to the Paris Club of creditor nations.

The spokesman said Kok was due to meet Putin and Kasyanov Friday after a breakfast with Dutch business leaders.

The agenda for the talks included disarmament issues, the situation in the Balkans and in the North Caucasus.
