Reserves Rise $700M

  • The nation’s gold and hard currency reserves rose by $700 million to $24.1 billion in the week ending Aug. 25, the Central Bank said Thursday.

The bank gave no reason for the increase in reserves, which stood at $23.5 billion on Aug. 11. The rise came after the reserves had fallen by $100 million for two weeks in a row.
