Cultural Centers in Iraq

In Moscow’s latest challenge to sanctions against Iraq, Russian officials have signed an agreement in Baghdad on opening Russian cultural centers in the Iraqi capital, news reports said Tuesday.

The agreement between Iraq and Russia’s Committee for International Cultural and Business Cooperation was signed Monday during a visit by Russian lawmakers and cultural and business leaders, Itar-Tass and Interfax reported.

The parties have agreed to carry out wide cultural information exchanges and promote business contacts.
