Priest Hunt Called Off

KIEV -- Emergency workers have stopped their search for a Russian Orthodox priest and his son who went missing in the Black Sea, Interfax reported.

Moscow priest Alexander Korolenkov, 39, and his 7-year-old son Spiridon went out on the sea Monday in an inflatable boat.

Korolenkov's wife and the couple's other five children remained ashore as the father and son left the Foros settlement in the Crimean Peninsula.

Searches for the boat continued until the coast guard decided that there was no hope of finding the two, Interfax said Thursday.
