Shares End Flat

MOSCOW -- Russian shares ended flat Monday as softer world markets, lower oil prices and a general lack of news provided little buying incentive, traders said.

The dollar-denominated Moscow Times Index of 50 leading stocks fell 0.70 percent to 10.518 on turnover of $148.35 million.

The RTS1-Interfax index ended a tiny 0.06 percent up at 189.63 on very thin turnover of $10.5 million. The Reuters Russian composite closed off 0.43 percent at 1,864.16.

National power grid UES was off 0.37 percent to $0.1337, and Mosenergo ended flat at $0.0408.
