Oil at 11-Week Lows

MOSCOW -- Oil prices hung near 11-week lows Wednesday, depressed by new data showing significant increases in fuel stockpiles in the United States.

International benchmark Brent crude futures for September delivery stood 8 cents off at $26.86 per barrel late in the morning, while U.S. light crude futures were 8 cents down at $27.87.

Spot prices for national benchmark Urals blend traded at $21.79 Tuesday, up 6 cents from Monday, Interfax reported.

Prices were knocked lower overnight Tuesday following weekly figures from the American Petroleum Institute industry group showing builds in U.S. stocks of crude, gasoline and distillates.
