WORLD BEAT: Country Singer Back In Saddle

BUFFALO, New York -- Country music singers Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw were arrested after Chesney rode away with a Mounted Reserve deputy's horse and McGraw attacked deputies who tried to corral him, authorities said.

Chesney had asked to sit on the horse outside the Ralph Wilson Stadium. The daughter of the deputy who owned the horse gave him permission to do so.

Chesney, 32, mounted the horse and rode off Saturday night, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office. Deputies patrolling the stadium parking lot ordered him to stop. When Chesney ignored the orders, the deputies rode after him and pulled him off the horse, the statement said.

McGraw is married to country signer Faith Hill. He has had 14 No. 1 singles, including "Indian Outlaw'' and "Don't Take the Girl.''
