MOSCOW -- Two deputies of recently confirmed Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov have tendered their resignations in what appears to be part of Ustinov's campaign to install his own prot?g?s at key posts in his office.

Chief Military Prosecutor Yury Dyomin and Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Rozanov, who oversaw personnel issues and correctional legislation at Ustinov's office, asked to be relieved of their duties, Interfax reported.

The agency quoted sources at the Prosecutor General's Office as saying Monday that Dyomin was resigning to take another job while Rozanov was retiring.
