Rokhlin Trial Delayed

MOSCOW -- A court decided Thursday to postpone the trial of Tamara Rokhlina, who is accused of the 1998 murder of her husband, Lev Rokhlin, a general and lawmaker.

The delay will allow prominent lawyer Anatoly Kucherena to familiarize himself with the case.

He said the trial was set for Sept. 25 in Naro-Fominsk, a town in the Moscow region.

Rokhlin, 51, was killed by a single shot to the head, fired from his own pistol, while asleep at his dacha.

His widow's fingerprints were found on the gun and police said she confessed to the crime. Her family and supporters said she was framed.
