Greek President Visits

MOSCOW -- Greek President Constantinos Stephanopoulos launched a four-day visit to Russia on Monday with a visit to Moscow's gilded Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

Stephanopoulos' official agenda is expected to focus on security issues in southeast Europe, including talks on Russia's peacekeeping role in the Yugoslav province of Kosovo, and bilateral ties between the two countries.

Stephanopoulos and President Vladimir Putin discussed a security pact for southeast Europe in talks in the Kremlin on Monday afternoon, Itar-Tass reported.
