Ukraine Toxic Spill

KIEV -- Rescue workers evacuated 162 people from a village in central Ukraine after a train derailed and spilled 100 metric tons of water tainted with ammonia, a news report said Sunday.

Six of the train's wagons derailed near the village of Konstantynivka late Saturday. Two tanks with ammonia-tainted water were punctured and the entire area had to be evacuated. Fifty firemen and chemical experts were cleaning up the spill.
