- Tyumennefteprodukt, the retail unit of oil major TNK, will hold its annual general meeting Tuesday. Shareholders are expected to discuss the company's 1999 results, as well as a potential share emission, which would enable the unit to raise its charter capital.

- President Vladimir Putin's proposals for increasing the Kremlin's control over the regions is set to hit the State Duma committees involved Tuesday. The Kremlin submitted the proposals Friday.

Putin has strongly urged the deputies to approve them quickly, and Duma Speaker Gennady Seleznyov said Friday that the lower house is likely to hold the first reading this week.

One of the bills changes the way parliament's upper house, the Federation Council, is chosen. Putin said he wanted this law to be adopted by February so the new house could be formed no later than April.

Another bill gives Putin broad power to dismiss governors and gives the same powers to governors to dismiss local administration heads.

- Also Tu esday, the Duma will consider extending its session to July 7 from the usual June 16 so it can have more time to consider the plethora of new legislation submitted to it by the ambitious new president.

- On the international front, some heavy hitters from the top echelons of government and the business community will be flying to London on Tuesday to woo potential foreign investors at the Investing in Russia and CIS conference.

Among the high-profile participants will be Alexander Livshits, envoy to the Group of Eight leading industrial countries, recently appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, head of the Federal Securities Commission Igor Kostikov, Yukos chief Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Kakha Bendukidze, chairman of the board of Uralmash Zavody.

- The REALTEX-2000 exhibition, devoted to real estate and construction, will open Wednesday and will run to Saturday at the Manezh exhibition hall. Moscow Mayor Yury Luzkov will participate in the opening ceremonies.
