Spartak Still on Course

MOSCOW -- Champions Spartak Moscow stayed on course for a league and cup double by squeezing past Saturn Ramenskoye 1-0 in their Russian Cup quarterfinal Tuesday.

Second-half substitute Maxim Buznikin scored the 61st minute winner, heading home a cross from Russian international Yegor Titov.

Spartak, the better side for much of the game, appeared to have taken the lead through Brazilian striker Luis Robson shortly before the interval, but the goal was disallowed because of a foul.

Spartak will meet the winner of Wednesday's clash between Lokomotiv Moscow and first division Metallurg Lipetsk in the semifinals.
